Election Objections
I'm at a total loss as Facilitator what objections are valid during an integrative election process, or how to navigate that round. Can anyone give me some examples and/or guidance? Thank you everyone!

Election Terms
From 2.5.2: "During the election process, the Facilitator will specify a term for each election." Does anyone have experience enacting a policy to handle this differently? What should the Facilitator be considering when deciding on the term length? It feels weird to me for some reason, as the Fac...

Tensions as Tactical Meeting Outputs?
Anyone have an experience of this? Looking for some examples. Trying to give Secretaries some guidance in what's appropriate to capture as outputs. Genesis was a Secretary who wrote every tension and how it was processed (action/project), which generated a very unhelpful post-meeting email lol.

Announcing Policies?
If a policy is passed in the GCC, or any super-circle, is the Secretary understood to be responsible for announcing the policy to all the sub-circles?

Company-Wide Policy
We recently passed a proposal for a company-wide policy in GCC governance, and I'm not sure how to enter it in GF correctly. Right now it's living as a GCC policy, but I'd like to appear in every sub-circle as well. How should this work? In case anyone's interested, here's the policy: Any major c...

Affecting Governance Of Another Circle
During a governance meeting today, someone proposed editing the accountabilities of a role in another circle. As Facilitator, I rejected this as an invalid proposal, even though it did relate to their role. I wasn't super clear, however, on how to best process the tension. Can the GCC edit accoun...

Modifying Sub-Circles
Referring to 2.6.1 (modifying sub-circles) and 2.6.2 (removing sub-circles) of version 4.1: Can this be done only by the immediate super-circle? Or can it be down by a super-super-circle, like the anchor circle? Example: a circle is two removed from the anchor circle. Can the GCC modify/remove it...

Facilitator Deleting Checklist Items?
As Facilitator of a circle, I noticed that there are checklist items which don't correspond to accountabilities. Am I overstepping by deleting them / should only the Secretary edit the checklist? Or is that permissible as Facilitator? Also, if the Secretary doesn't agree -- but it's self-evident ...

"Are you trying to help...the Circle?"
I proposed a circle policy that our tactical meetings should be scheduled for 30 minutes. Another circle member objected that it would cause harm by: "We'd lose people who are fully booked who would skip out after a half hour, and it would force an urgency in a circle that just expanded by absorb...

Validity of Removing A Role
I'm our Knowledge Base Custodian and we no longer have a need for an internal knowledge base, something which everyone agrees. I'm trying to think how to frame my tension to connect it to my purpose / accountabilities being inhibited. Does anyone have suggestions around that when it comes to remo...

Policy and/or Accountability?
I'm still struggling in determining when a policy versus accountabilities, or both, are appropriate. A co-worker just emailed several of us: Any time you guys upload an ad to the staging server can you just let me know how many have been uploaded. I'll need to keep track because these don't pull ...

Consolidating Roles In Another Circle
We have a sub-circle of GCC (Product) that has 6 roles which can all be collapsed into one. By being separate, it has created tactical confusion and undermined our culture shift to engaging roles, not "souls". This tension does not originate in the Product Circle itself though, but from a role wi...

Personal Tensions (Outside Roles)
I know there must be stuff in the forum (and maybe constitution) about this, but I just can't find it after a lot of searching. Can anyone point me to some references about how to process concerns of "souls"?

Bug: link to role not showing up
Role name [ @Master_Of_Product ] is written correctly in governance, but not linked dynamically. After editing and replacing with exact same text, proposal shows the accountability has changed. Please email me (fred@adverator.com) because the file upload function is not working here.

Tensions as Tactical Meeting Outputs?
Yeah, that's where I discovered it; otherwise it wouldn't have occurred to me as a possible tactical output. You just gave me the idea to actually test it, and I noticed that it only allows it to be assigned to individuals, not roles, and it pushes it into their tensions for governance.I would've...

Didn't know about that - just located it in GF. We're not yet on the premium plan though, and likely won't be for a while due to some factors outside of our control.

Affecting Governance Of Another Circle
This is sooo helpful. One of the questions I forgot to post about was what are circle accountabilities in GF. "Are you trying to help...the Circle?"
Thanks Dien. When I brought up the possibility of raising this tension/proposal in the most recent coaching hour with Oliver, he pointed out that any circle member would have grounds to raise this, not just the Lead Link.If that's true, I'm wondering why it would only be the Lead Link that could ...

"Are you trying to help...the Circle?"
@Oliver: So I'm pretty sure she was objecting on behalf of the circle as a whole and circle members (not roles per say, including hers), so her objection likely would've borne out as invalid. Would the Lead Link be able to object on behalf of the circle though since their purpose is "The Lead Lin...

Validity of Removing A Role
Thanks for the replies!@Margaux: I decided (as Knowledge Base Custodian) after seeking input from Rep Links at the most recent GCC tactical meeting. By "everyone" I meant all the GCC members. Vacation Policies
Our CEO has a domain of "Employee-related policies, including compensation and the company handbook". How did Holacracy change your work-routine?
There's much less confusion on who's responsible for what. Balls get dropped less. Those of us who were overworked are less so, and those who didn't have enough to do are busier. There's more sensitivity around stepping on someone else's toes which occasionally leads to unnecessary restraint, but...

Questions about Governance Facilitation
@Dennis + @Gerald: I'm so glad you wrote about this, as it's definitely a mistake I'm making as Facilitator. Other than another circle member requesting it, under what circumstances would you still test a tension/proposal from the outset?

Consolidating Roles In Another Circle
I wouldn't extract them because they belong within Product. As a GCC tactical output, I've asked the Product Lead Link to process the tension. These roles were not created out of tensions - they were part of our governance kick-off. But there is nothing stopping tension-driven changes that might f...

Consolidating Roles In Another Circle

Domain in the Circle and also in a Role
This is one of my top complaints about GlassFrog.Super-circle assigns an accountability (or domain) to a sub-circle. Sub-circle is then responsible for assigning accountability to a role. Domain in the Circle and also in a Role
Never, I'd always want the update to be made dynamically. If that gives rise to a tension that might be processed in re-assigning the modified accountability to a different role within the circle, that's fine.Does that make sense? Happy to jump on a quick call: 917-291-0374
