Process breakdown in an integration phase
Hello everybody! Constitution says (3.5) that a facilitator can declare a process breakdown if the circle struggles long enough in integration. Then the facilitator gains the authority to judge the arguments for whether or not tension/objection is valid or not. I do understand that this is more l...

Rep link when there is no broader circle
Hi! We're trying Holacracy in one team that is a part of the broader organisation. So there is no broader circle, but there is broader organisation that influences how this team works. To me it makes sense to have a role like RepLink to protect this team's boundaries and to speak for this circle ...

Partners availability
Hi! Lead Link of our circle is concerned that some Partners aren't available when they are supposed to. Like Sales person isn't answering incoming calls in the morning. And in general — we feel like it takes too long to get information when it's needed quick. In a traditional organisation we coul...

Accountabilities to "get approval"
Hi! Today during the simulation we've run into a situation where somebody during integration phase proposed to add an accountability to "create financial forecasts and get approval from Finance". The proposer and the objector agreed that it would resolve both original tension and objection. And t...

Prioritisation duties
Hi! Within Russian community we're trying to figure out why constitution only states prioritisation duties for the requests from fellow Circle Members. That's stated in section 4.1.3. To me it would make sense to replace "fellow Circle Members" with "partners". Is there a reason why it is limited...

Compensation app examples
Hi everyone! In a coach training someone mentioned a compensation app for Holacracy called "Stahrs". They said I can find it on google if I like. I tried and I couldn't :) The key idea in this app was that people would get a certain amount of stars, that they can give to other people, and then co...

Duty to track metrics
Hi everyone! Constitution says everyone must track and report on the metrics assigned to their roles. What happens if tracking some metric requires to do a lot of work? Does the person having that role has to prioritise it over normal tasks? Or is it their own decision based on their best judgeme...

Partners availability
Christel Hofman posted:This is an interesting topic. We resolved it with peer evaluations. We decided in the governance meeting upon a procedure how to do this evaluation and what to do with the results. I don't know if this is according to the holacracy rules, but it works. Does this help you?T...

How to quickly process governance tensions
rob thorpe posted:I agree with all points, and we in general are practicing in that way. My original intention was to discuss ways to make the async process work better in itself, perhaps by leveraging a tool like Slack. This is more of an experiment that likely a smaller sub-circle would use, no...
