Project / Duty To Process
Additionally to what Dennis said: It is also possible to ask the Lead Link to reallocate the Role to more people (or someone else entirely), or to supply the Role with more resources so that it can do its work.

Mixing Tactical and Governance
Tactical Meetings would get really confusing if Governance changed while they are running! It's good practise to let Governance changes "sink in" and then collect Tactical Tensions. This gives good grounding. We also follow the process that Ruben outlined and sometimes run Tactical and Governanc...

Open Organizations in GlassFrog
Hi Federico! Structure & Process also has open Governance Records. And I have linked to others in the list of organisations using Holacracy where I could. I will take up those that you find through your search there also - very clever! :-)

Constitution Versions
We manually "upgraded" to Version 4.1 from 4.0, after we had reviewed the changes carefully. I think it would be dangerous to have an "automatic" update built in. But maybe that's safe to try for some organisations.

Testing Proposal
There was also a longer conversation around this topic on GitHub: https://github.com/holacracyon...nstitution/issues/29 In our practise, "Clarifying Questions" seems to be the right place to ask the questions that Bernard Marie pointed out. If there is any doubt about the "logic" of an argument, ...

Mindmap of the Constitution v4.1
Wow, that's lovely! What software did you use to create this map? (It gives me some ideas for visualisation of the constitution that I would like to play with. I thought maybe I could use your base file to work with it in FreeMind.)

capacity and priorities in different circles
The question that jumps out for me is: who is you? You ask if someone knows "how you set priorities". Who is that? What are you trying to do? Basically, nobody in Holacracy sets priorities for others; except, when useful or necessary, the Lead Link of a Circle. If your role is in trouble becaus...

capacity and priorities in different circles
I don't see how that could be answered within Holacracy: It's up to John how to resolve his tension - ultimately a completely personal decision. (Or, to answer your question: I don't think he "should" do anything special, besides sensing and processing the tensions and staying transparent to fell...

Anchor Circle Redux
We did exactly that with Structure & Process a while back, when we removed a "Board" Level that existed above the GCC: Governance Meeting of the Anchor Circle: Restructure the Sub-Circle, pulling up all roles and policies, remove the empty shell of the ex-lower-circle. Close the meeting, then...

Resigning someone from Secretary role
There are two different issues in the question, if I understand correctly: One about the Secretary resigning, another about Glassfrog being unable to process that.In my view, a Secretary can resign their role, just like any other role holder. There is nothing in the constitution that would sugges...

The role of works council
Gerald, you have me curious with "Ultimately it is clear that there is no real need to have a works council in Orgs operating in Holacracy."What makes you say that? Where do you take that clarity from? (I think I can see how that might be true, but I could just as easily argue the opposite at the...

Changes to Policy
Ryan, you seem to be using an older version of the constitution (version 4.0?). In Version 4.1, section 2.2.1 simply reads:"Further, the Lead Link may not define Policies that limit the Circle’s Roles, except via the Governance Process of the Circle."(Which, I think, still has the ambiguity that ...

Creating a new anchor circle
Hi Tyler: Re your first question: The way to do this practically is to Rename the existing GCC to "Danke Enterprises"Create a new Role for "Purely Poultry" and make that role into a circle, moving the existing Roles into itThis can/must be done through the Governance Process of the existing circl...

Creating a new anchor circle
Re: your second question: I think we (Structure & Process, at that time called Röll & Korvenmaa) had a structure like the one you image: There was an Anchor Circle (called "Board") which had Cross-Links for me and my business partner (and two more roles, for the partnership system and leg...

Adding to Margaux: One way to easily see all policies that apply to a role, is to use the "My Authority" function in Glassfrog: It will show you applicable policies from the role's immediate circle and all super-circles.

Triage - what is the goal really?

Sub-circle absorption to parent Circle
I wonder why you are debating this, and not processing it in Governance or Tactical just like anything else: If anyone has a tension about the circle structure, they can take action. The process ensures that this is safe. There seem to be all kinds of different tensions at play here, and a lot of ...

Incomplete Role
Tyler: to me, that is a bug. When one purposefully sets a role up with just a name, that is not "incomplete": that is as complete as it gets at that moment. I'd rather have Glassfrog honor that, than "coach" the organisation by coloring perfectly valid roles signal-red as if there was an error.I ...

Policies and Notes as handbook?
Hey Dadi! Good to hear from you! Here are a few thoughts:"An 8 hour workday on average is the expected norm during each month."I'd create a Role for this: "Norm Keeper" "Expectation Keeper" "Company Culture Documentation" or so, and have that role keep records of such general norms/expectations. Dutch Labor Law and Holacracy
I have no practical experience of the situation, but I am a bit puzzled by your question. The legacy systems apply, so the question is: how has the organisation done firing/departure from the company in the past? (And then, secondary: why has it not built up systems to do that in its current Hola...

Objection / Test / Integration
I think Bernard Marie's suggestion to ask for any other objections is excellent. I would like to add on more point: in my view, there is no such thing as "having the same objection" as stated in the original question. Objections are personal. They may seem to be "the same", contentwise, but in th...

One formal note: You are making requests to the Secretary, while it would be the Facilitator's job to capture Agenda items.
