Why do we need explicit fine grain roles instead of the standard company title?

I wonder what would be your answer to such question when explaining the concept of explicit roles to people who is start to adopting holacracy?

I usually answer with one of these:

  • Fine grain roles, let us choose which kind of job that we are more suitable and like to do.
  • Roles with clear purpose and accountability, help us measure our own performance in work
  • Roles domain and accountability points out who can take some decision, instead of looking for consensus
